I like the article! What is not really mentioned is the fact of the winner takes it all situation where a large vendor offers all those services along their main line of business. An example here would be that Robinhood stock trading platform easily can offer a traders diary as well and its much better integrated as an external one ever will be. I mean dont understand me wrong, all those ideas are good but hard to keep up against major players like Google, etc.
